Former pop star Holly Valance donates £50,000 to the election campaign for Nigel Farage's party Reform UK.

Former pop star and actress Holly Valance has donated £50,000 to the election campaign of Nigel Farage's Reform UK party.

The 41-year-old - known for her hit 'Kiss Kiss' and her three-year stint playing Flick Scully on Neighbours - has been a long-time supporter of Farage together with her property mogul husband Nick Candy.

Earlier this month Farage announced - at a press conference attended by Valance - his return to front-line politics, taking over from Richard Tice as leader of Reform, and is standing in the Essex constituency of Clacton.

"I have been whispering in his ear for a long time," Valance told GB News at the event. "He is the face of Reform. Richard has done a great job and they are a great team.

"Hopefully now we will be stronger and we will see what we can do at this next election. I'm a paid-up member."

The latest opinion polls put Reform at an average of 17% of the vote, just behind the Conservatives' 21% and significantly behind Labour's 41%.

Other candidates in Clacton: Matthew Bensilum (Liberal Democrats), Craig Jamieson (Climate Party), Tony Mack (Independent), Natasha Osben (Green), Jovan Owusu-Nepaul (Labour), Tasos Papanastasiou (Heritage), Andrew Pemberton (UKIP), Giles Watling (Conservatives)
