Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx is said to be recovering after experiencing a sudden medical emergency on Tuesday.
The 55-year-old was in Atlanta filming a new Netflix comedy alongside Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close when the incident occurred, although it is unclear whether he was on set at the time.
A post on social media from his daughter Corrine said that "quick action" prevented his situation from getting worse and he is now receiving "great care" in hospital.
She wrote: "We wanted to share that my father Jamie Foxx experienced a medical complication yesterday.
"Luckily due to quick action and great care he is already on his way to recovery.
"We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time."
According to TMZ, Foxx's initial situation was "serious" enough to warrant family travelling to Atlanta, with one source telling the publication: "He's communicating now, and that's good news."
Foxx - an Oscar, BAFTA, Golden Globe and Grammy winner - has two daughters, 29-year-old Corrine and 14-year-old Annalise.
