Kevin Spacey described the prosecution's case against him as "weak" as his trial for sexual offences continued on Friday.
The 63-year-old is accused of 12 counts of sexual offences against four different men between 2001 and 2013 - all charges which he denies.
Taking to the stand to give evidence on Friday, Spacey was interrogated by prosecutor Christine Agnew KC, who said that his "power and fame" had deterred from his victims from coming forward for so long.
The actor replied: "I have used the position I gratefully found myself in to help others, to create art, to bring The Old Vic [Theatre] back to its magical days.
"I did not have a power wand that I waved in front of people's faces whenever I wanted someone to go to bed with me."
Earlier in the week one of the men had accused Spacey of grabbing his crotch "like a cobra", and when asked why the man in question would lie about such an incident, he replied: "Money, money and then money. And I also believe he has for whatever reason, anger towards me."
Asked about the claims from one of the men - who worked as a driver - that he had been non-consensually touched multiple times over four years, Spacey responded: "We had a kind of naughty relationship but sex didn't happen... At no time did any of our parts emerge."
The trial continues on Monday.
