Joanna Lumley has received a damehood in the New Year's Honours for 2022, it has been announced.
The veteran actress is an advocate for more than 70 charities, most notably campaigning for the rights of the Gurkhas and the children's charity UNICEF.
Coronation Street star Bill Roache - a world-record holder after appearing in the soap since it started in 1960 - and ex-EastEnders legend June Brown, 94, are both made OBEs, while Spice Girls singer Mel B becomes an MBE for her work with vulnerable women.
Vanessa Redgrave is made a Dame, Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway becomes an MBE and Ashley Banjo gets an MBE for services to dance.
Also on the list, former Prime Minister Tony Blair gets a knighthood 15 years after leaving office, while Professors Chris Whitty and Jonathan Van-Tam will also become Sirs for their work informing the public during the coronavirus pandemic.
