Adam Peaty has admitted that his dance skills are still somewhat lacking with just weeks remaining until his Strictly Come Dancing debut.
The 26-year-old breaststroke specialist was announced as a shock contestant on the new series of the BBC dance competition just days after his stunning performance for Team GB in Tokyo which took his total to three Olympic gold medals.
Peaty, who stands at 6ft 3in, was installed as one of the early favourites with the bookmakers but speaking at last night's GQ Awards, he suggested that he has yet to start training.
"I don't know any dance moves yet and it's two weeks away.," he told the PA. "So it's going to be fun but we'll see."
Peaty will learn the identity of his professional partner for the series in a week's time, ahead of the first live performances show a fortnight later.
