Strictly Come Dancing pro Aljaz Skorjanec has said that he is confident that the show will make it to air as usual this autumn.
The coronavirus pandemic had thrown serious doubt over this year's contest but in recent weeks TV productions have started to pick up again as social distancing guidelines in the UK are gradually eased.
Strictly producers are working on a number of measures to make the show safe, including isolating cast and crew, outdoor performances and limited studio audiences.
"We can't wait to get back on the Strictly floor," Aljaz Skorjanec told Hello! magazine. "We really hope the season is going to move forward because we all love doing it.
"Everything that has been thrown at the producers so far has been handled so incredibly well so I'm sure that they're going to find a way that's best for the show and the individuals doing it."
Celebs linked with appearing on this year's show include RuPaul Charles, Michelle Keegan, Catherine Tate and Gillian Anderson, although the BBC has yet to confirm any of its participants.
