Craig Revel Horwood has revealed that he is hopeful of being joined by fellow Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli in the studio this year.
Tonioli, 65, was unable to be part of the in-studio panel last year as coronavirus restrictions left him stranded in California, where he films the US version of the show, Dancing With The Stars.
Instead Tonioli appeared by video link for a short segment during the results show each week while the panel was reduced to three members - Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas.
A recent report suggested that Tonioli may be stuck in the same situation again this year, but Revel Horwood is optimistic that he will be back.
"We're hoping Bruno comes back," he told Good Morning Britain. "We really do want him there in the seat – whether he stays in the seat or not as he's generally up and down like a yo-yo!
"Of course we want him back. If he can't come back then he'll do what he did last time, you know due to restrictions, and just do lives and crosses and feeds to the studio, which was great fun as it was anyway."
The new series is due to get underway on BBC One in September.
