Giovanni Pernice could reportedly join the Italian version of Strictly Come Dancing following his exit from the British show.
The 33-year-old quit the BBC contest after nine series last month amid allegations from several of his former celebrity partners that he had been overly-aggressive with his training methods.
Pernice has vehemently protested his innocence and the BBC has since launched an investigation, which remains ongoing.
According to the Daily Mail, the Sicily-born star is in "advanced talks" about returning to his homeland to appear on the local version of Strictly, Ballando con le Stelle, which is due to return for a new season in October.
A source told the newspaper: "Bosses are really keen to sign him as a judge given his fame and status in the UK but are also open to the dancer performing as a professional, if he still wants to compete.
"It's a great move for Giovanni, who has weighed up the possibility of doing shows like I'm A Celeb, but dance will always be his passion.
"All he wants is a fresh start and to join Dancing with the Stars in Italy will certainly give him the new chapter he's been hoping for."
Pernice is currently on a UK and Ireland tour of Him & Me, a show with Strictly judge Anton Du Beke, while he also has a 78-date solo tour lined up for early 2025.
