HRVY tests negative for coronavirus ahead of Strictly launch

HRVY reveals that he has tested negative for coronavirus ahead of the Strictly Come Dancing launch show.

HRVY has revealed that he has been given the all-clear with a negative coronavirus test ahead of the Strictly Come Dancing launch show next week.

The 21-year-old singer was forced into isolation earlier this month after contracting COVID-19 but has quickly overcome the disease and is now able to take part in the ballroom contest as planned.

The launch episode of the show, in which the 12 celebrities get partnered up with the professionals, will be recorded on Monday night and broadcast the following Saturday.

In a tweet on Thursday, HRVY told followers: "he's free from Covid, he's a free elf now... thank you for all the kind messages, I tested negative today so I'm back, love you guys and see you all soon"

Other celebrities taking part this year include Caroline Quentin, Max George, Jacqui Smith and Nicola Adams.
