Oti Mabuse could be replaced by her older sister Phemelo Mabuse on Strictly Come Dancing, according to a report.

Oti Mabuse's sister Phemelo Mabuse has been linked with replacing her on the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Oti is thought to have left the BBC dance contest after seven years, having recently been announced as a new judge on ITV's Dancing On Ice, which starts later this month.

Oldest sister Motsi Mabuse is a firm fixture on the Strictly judging panel, and according to The Sun, there could be yet another member of the Mabuse family on the show in 2022.

"Oti is a hard act to follow as a professional dancer and the bosses have been discussing making her sister Phemelo an offer to join," a source told the newspaper.

"Strictly is so family-friendly, and having Oti and Motsi on board has really played into that, so Phemelo could be a brilliant replacement.

"But they would have to make a really attractive offer to get her on board.

"She has a successful career as an engineer in South Africa now, so to some it seems like a long shot. But they would love to have her involved."

Phemelo has previously competed as a professional dancer on the South African version of the show.
