Giovanni Pernice and Kai Widdrington are among the stars going on the run in the next series of Celebrity Hunted.

Strictly Come Dancing pros Giovanni Pernice and Kai Widdrington are reportedly in the lineup for the next series of Celebrity Hunted.

The show - staged annually for Stand Up To Cancer - sees pairs of celebrities "go on the run", attempting to evade capture by a team of professional hunters.

Pernice and Widdrington were supposedly convinced to appear on the show by Strictly colleague Katya Jones, who took part in the last series with Team GB snowboarder Aimee Fuller.

"Not only did she love the challenge, she also liked the fact it was for such a good cause - raising awareness and funds for Channel 4's Stand up to Cancer Appeal," a source told The Sun.

"Given the natural competitiveness between the dance pros, Giovanni and Kai will want to show they can do better than her in the competition.

"Karen and Aimee were the second couple to get caught on the show - so the boys just need to make sure they aren't the first."

The lineup for the next series also includes Loose Women star and actress Denise Welch, who is taking on the challenge with her husband Lincoln Townley.

Meanwhile, Danielle Harold, who makes her EastEnders exit this week, is teaming up with Kimberly Hart-Simpson - formerly of Coronation Street - to go on the run.

The new series will be filmed in the coming weeks and air on Channel 4 in early 2024.
