Strictly Come Dancing professional Vito Coppola reportedly joins the lineup for this year's Celebrity MasterChef.

Strictly Come Dancing professional Vito Coppola has reportedly joined the lineup for this year's edition of Celebrity MasterChef.

The 31-year-old Italian dancer is the reigning champion of the BBC ballroom contest, having won with Coronation Street actress Ellie Leach last year, one year on from coming second with Fleur East in his debut series.

According to The Sun, he will now follow in the footsteps of fellow Strictly stars Katya Jones, Dianne Buswell and Johannes Radebe to show off his culinary skills on another one of the BBC's biggest shows.

"Bosses were desperate to sign up Vito - his popularity with audiences is obvious after he won Strictly with Ellie Leach," a source told the newspaper.

"He's funny and charming, and it doesn't hurt that he's easy on the eye too.

"As for Vito, he was flattered to be asked as he has only been on Strictly for a couple of years so this is a big deal for him and introduces him to an even wider audience."

Other celebs thought to be in the lineup this year include Craig Doyle, Danielle Harold, H from Steps, Jake Quickenden, Christine Lampard and Edith Bowman.

The new series starts on BBC One this summer.
