Steph McGovern is reportedly one of the top targets for producers for this year's edition of Strictly Come Dancing.
The 40-year-old - presenter of Steph's Packed Lunch on Channel 4 - is said to have turned down the show twice in past years.
According to The Sun, however, execs are confident of securing her signature this year and are hoping to have her take part in a same-sex partnership.
"Steph has the personality and profile which makes her a perfect choice in the eyes of Strictly producers," a source told the newspaper.
"They completely understood why she's had to say no in the past. She was just establishing Packed Lunch on Channel 4 and wanted to give that her complete attention.
"But now it is a firm fixture in the schedules. It was nominated for a BAFTA earlier this year and only last month it was announced it had been recommissioned and will run into 2023."
The new series is due to begin on BBC One in September.
