Former EastEnders star Tamzin Outhwaite has been revealed as the fifth celebrity participating in this year's Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.
Already confirmed for the annual one-dance contest are Gladiators' Nitro, aka Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Drag Race finalist Tayce, comedian Josh Widdicombe and presenter Vogue Williams.
Joining them in lineup is actress Outhwaite, 54, who starred as Mel Owen in the BBC's flagship soap from 1998 to 2002 then again for a brief stint from 2018 to 2019.
Speaking about taking on Strictly, Outhwaite, who will be partnered with Nikita Kuzmin, said: "I'm so excited to swap the stage for the Strictly Ballroom this Christmas. I'm used to performing in front of a live audience, but this is a whole new experience.
"I can't wait to immerse myself in all things glitter and sequins. Let's hope the judges show Nikita and I some extra festive cheer this Christmas!"
The Strictly special will be filmed early next month and airs on Christmas Day on BBC One.
