One of the three professionals on Strictly Come Dancing who have refused to get the coronavirus vaccine has reportedly performed a U-turn.
Reports that a trio of dancers - none of whom has been named - are unvaccinated is said to have prompted much concern among fellow cast members, as well as crew including makeup artists and costume staff, who are worried that their own safety is being put at risk.
According to The Sun, the fallout of the news has prompted one of the three dancers to change their stance and instead get the vaccination, which is available to everyone aged 16 and over in the UK.
A source told the newspaper: "The pro felt that the narrative had gotten out of control and wants to bring back the focus to the competition.
"No-one told them they have to get jabbed but it was a decision they came to themselves and felt it was the best thing to do for everyone involved.
"It was becoming a guessing game as to who had been vaxxed and who hasn't where as the professional dancers' main focus is the dance floor."
A BBC spokesperson said: "We do not comment on speculation of somebody's Covid vaccination status.
"Strictly Come Dancing production has, and will continue, to follow strict Government guidelines to ensure the safety of all on the show."
The news comes after this year's live shows got underway on BBC One last night.
