The BBC releases more teasers about the new series of The Apprentice ahead of its start next month.

Lord Sugar will challenge the new crop of candidates to come up with an advertising campaign for a new destination cruise when The Apprentice returns next month.

After two years off due to coronavirus, the popular show is back with 16 new candidates aiming to impress Sugar and secure his £250,000 business investment.

Karren Brady returns as one of his advisors alongside series one winner Tim Campbell, who is filling in for Claude Littner this series as he recovers from an operation.

Following on from the cruise-themed challenge in episode one of the new series, future tasks will involve children's tooth care, the Welsh tourism industry, a corporate away day at Silverstone and video games. The new series will also include the return of the popular live shopping TV channel task.

Kicking off the series in the boardroom, Lord Sugar tells the candidates: "I must say, we are glad to be back in the boardroom again. But don't for one minute think I've gone soft.

"Due to the pandemic, the world of business is tougher than ever before and the same goes for this process. In this boardroom you don't get furloughed, you get fired."

The Apprentice returns to BBC One at 9pm on Thursday, January 6.
