A fresh round of ratings led to a surprise twist in the latest episode of The Circle.

A shock double blocking led to the reveal of a new twist as The Circle entered its final week tonight.

After being branded 'strategic' by Andy in a game the other day, Femi continued to fume and vowed to get the OG player blocked next.

In a game where the players had to design book covers for each other, Femi was far from subtle in his cover for Andy, titling the book: "The Non-Strategic Entrepreneur: A Guide On How Not To Get To Know People".

"If you don't want to make friends in The Circle, this book is a perfect guide to helping you do just that," it said. "It may make you miss out on possible life changing relationships, but that's fine."

At ratings time, the anti-Andy sentiment came to the fore as he found himself in bottom place, with Femi in sixth, Pippa in fifth and Syed in fourth.

Manrika was ranked third, leaving Dorothy (second) and Felix (first) as the two influencers - but when they arrived for the Influencer Chat, host Emma popped up with a surprise announcement.

Dot and Felix were given a one-off chance to block each other, no questions asked, and take out their biggest competition - but both decided to remain loyal to each other and turned down the opportunity.

Instead, they then had to block one player each without consultation, live in The Circle chat. Both newcomers were taken out, with Felix blocking Pippa then Dot blocking Femi.

Their game was far from over, however, as Pippa and Femi then met face to face for the first time and were told that they could continue to play on in the game together as a catfish - a young priest called Tom.

The Circle continues Monday night at 10pm on Channel 4.
