The BBC is reportedly in negotiations to acquire the US version of its breakout reality hit The Traitors.
The UK version of the show - hosted by Claudia Winkleman - aired on BBC One in the run-up to Christmas and quickly became a word-of-mouth success.
The US adaptation was filmed at the same Scottish castle straight after the UK version, albeit with Alan Cumming hosting and the participants being a mix of celebrities and members of the American public.
All 10 episodes will be released on US streaming service Peacock this Thursday and according to Variety, the BBC is the favourite to land the UK broadcast rights.
The publication says that if a deal is done then the show would either air on BBC Three or go straight on iPlayer as a boxset.
The UK series was the second most-streamed show on iPlayer over the Christmas fortnight, with 12.4 million streams registered between December 20 and January 2.
