Cloaks at the ready - The Traitors is back!
After a seemingly-interminable wait, Claudia Winkleman has returned to her Scottish castle to welcome a new group of 22 strangers to play the ultimate game of deception. Who will become The Traitors and who are The Faithfuls?

Why did you apply for the show?
"I was looking for an adventure. I've spent my life moving around, moving cities, moving countries, doing different things but lately I've been in the same place kind of doing the same thing. I'm happy where I am, I'm happy with the way my life is but I do need a little bit of an adventure."
What is your game plan?
"This is going to sound weird, but I think the best way for me to win is to be a Traitor. I know being a Traitor means you're lying but my strategy will be to tell the truth – because the best lies come from truth. I'm going to be honest about the kind of person that I am. I think if I can just stay with that baseline, I could probably get quite far... I hope."
Would you make a good Traitor?
"It's a game, and if I need to wipe the floor with you to win, then that's exactly what I'll do. That sounds so horrible! I don't mean to be horrible, but you know, it's a game and I'm playing to win."
What would you spend the prize money on?
"This is really boring, but I'm getting old, and I live in London. This is my home, I'm never going anywhere, I'm never moving out of Walthamstow. This would literally be my only chance to get on to that property ladder. I don't have what a lot of people have, I don't have family to fall back on, I don't have anybody to give me anything. I don't have anything to inherit. I don't want to be renting when I'm 60 years old, renting with housemates... although that would still be kind of fun. I'd also like to help my mum sort out her house out."
The Traitors series two begins Wednesday, January 3 at 9pm on BBC One.
