Simon Cowell is reportedly hoping to sign up former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson as one of the judges for The X Factor's return.
After two years off the air, the talent show is expected to return to ITV in 2022 and creator Cowell is currently working through the plans for its comeback, which is likely to include fresh faces on the judging panel.
Nelson, 29, found fame through the show in 2011, with Little Mix winning the series, but she decided to quit the group in December citing mental health reasons.
Speaking about her possible involvement on The X Factor, a source told The Sun: "It's a no-brainer for Simon to have someone as successful as Jesy, who the show made, back on the panel.
"She knows the ups and downs of the music industry inside out, and what it takes to be a successful popstar.
"Her name has been bandied around by Simon and his team as someone who could breathe a bit of new life into the show when it's back next year."
Cowell is also said to be considering inviting back former judge Cheryl Cole for the new series.
