The Only Way Is Essex is to return for two full series, plus a miniseries set in Bali, in 2024.

The show - currently airing on ITVBe - has now been on air for more than 13 years and recently concluded its 31st series.

The broadcaster has now confirmed a 32nd and 33rd series for next year, as well as three episodes to be filmed in Bali, Indonesia.

"They are splashing the cash by sending the cast away to Bali for a glamorous trip in February," a source told The Sun.

"It is the most exotic place they've ever experienced to date and is a huge treat for the lucky stars who get booked to go."

They added: "The tranquil setting in Bali won't be like that for long once the Towie lot arrive.

"Given the intense moments we saw in the last series, it's likely the drama in the next series will ramp up sevenfold."

Paul Mortimer, ITV's head of reality, said: "Twelve years on, and Towie is still going strong. It remains the number one show on ITVBe and a streaming stalwart on ITVX.

"We eagerly welcome back Towie in 2024 as it continues to provide new stories by peeling back the layers of Essex's most vibrant characters."

The next series is also rumoured to feature the return of OG cast member Lauren Goodger.
