The BBC has announced that Morning Live is to become a permanent fixture in BBC One's daytime schedule.
The topical magazine programme, hosted by Gethin Jones and Kym Marsh, launched last October in the 9.15am to 10am slot and recently returned for an extended second series.
Now the BBC has revealed that it will be a year-round part of the schedules, with occasional three-week breaks to make way for the popular Rip Off Britain programme.
Additionally, from January 2022 the show will join BBC Breakfast in broadcasting live from Salford as part of the BBC's drive to make more programming outside of London.
"I'm delighted the audience has enjoyed watching Morning Live as much as we love doing it," said Marsh.
"This is an exciting development for the show, and we're looking forward to keeping viewers company on many more mornings in the months to come, and obviously I couldn't think of a better new home for the show than Salford!"
Jones added: "I am thrilled that Morning Live has been so well-received, and now, we have the chance to make more! It's an absolute joy being part of people's daily lives and knowing that our audience help shape the week.
"We're looking forward to building on what we started - sharing loads more tips and advice, and having plenty of laughs along the way. Thanks for watching, and we'll see you at 9.15am in the morning!"
Morning Live is currently averaging 1.5 million viewers and consistently beats ITV's long-running Lorraine in the same timeslot.
