Bradley Walsh is reportedly handed a new yearly contract of £4m to remain with ITV hosting The Chase.

Bradley Walsh has reportedly been given a pay rise of £500,000 by ITV to remain as host of popular quiz show The Chase.

The 64-year-old has hosted the show since its debut 14 years ago in 2009, as well as primetime spinoff Beat The Chasers, amounting to more than 2,500 episodes in total.

According to The Sun, his new annual pay packet of £4 million makes him ITV's best-paid male after Ant and Dec.

"Bradley is one of the network's most popular presenters and is hugely likeable," a source said.

"During negotiations for his contract to be renewed, bosses at ITV were concerned he might quit if he wasn't happy with his package.

"There was a real concern he might walk away."

Walsh also works for the BBC, hosting the latest iteration of Blankety Blank and the revival of Gladiators.
