Breaking Bad actor Mark Magolis has died at the age of 83 following a brief illness.
The star appeared in the acclaimed drama as Hector Salamanca, the elderly don of a drugs cartel who was paralysed and able to communicate only using a bell and his facial expressions, later reprising the role in spinoff show Better Call Saul.
Margolis also starred in Scarface and most of Darren Aronofsky's movies, as well as shows such as Oz and Santa Barbara.
His agent Robert Kolker said in a statement: "He was one of a kind. We won't see his likes again. He was a treasured client and a lifelong friend. I was lucky to know him."
Margolis is survived by his wife Jacqueline, their son and two grandchildren.
