Channel 4 announces new series Complaints Welcome, a comedy show that will feature viewers' tongue-in-cheek complaints about the week's TV.

Channel 4 has announced a new comedy series that will feature viewers' frivolous complaints about the week's TV.

Each week hosts Tom Allen, Jessica Knappett and Munya Chawawa will tackle the big talking points from the major shows on air in the previous seven days and decide whether to uphold or reject the complaints.

The new format is a cross between Channel 4's top-rated show, Gogglebox, and the panel show Room 101 and has been given an initial six-episode order by the broadcaster.

"Jess, Munya and I will be putting TV on trial," said Allen. "If you've got an opinion on anything from the corsets in Bridgerton to a frown about Countdown, we want to hear from you.

"Complaints Welcome will be standing by to review the reviews viewing viewers viewed."

Phil Harris, head of entertainment and events at C4, added: "If there's one thing we love more than telly, it's complaining about telly. Munya, Jess and Tom will get to the bottom of viewer complaints in their own sharp, satirical and unique way."

The new series is expected to go out later this year.
