A cameo from Chris Noth has been dropped from the season finale of And Just Like That... following the sexual assault allegations against him.

The Sex and the City spinoff began in shock fashion with Noth's character Big being killed off after a session on his Peloton bike.

Last month several women came forward to accuse the 67-year-old actor of rape - allegations he strenuously denies - and he has since been dropped by his agents and fired from a role on CBS drama The Equalizer.

According to TV Line, Big was due to appear alongside Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) in a fantasy scene in Paris, where she goes to scatter his ashes, in next month's final episode of And Just Like That...

In the wake of the claims against Noth, however, the show's producers have decided that Big's final scene "was not integral" to the plot of the episode and have removed it from the final cut.

The finale of And Just Like That... is due to air on February 3 on Sky Comedy in the UK and HBO Max in the US.
