Ese Johnson has become the first person to be eliminated from this year's Interior Design Masters.
The first task of the new series required the designers to make over a small bunkbed room inside a youth hostel, with Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen guest judging their efforts alongside Michelle Ogundehin.
Ese, found himself in the bottom three alongside Emma Carvell and Victoria Scott, was criticised for putting an unnecessary large wardrobe in his room, while Llewelyn-Bowen said that some of his projects "lacked finesse".
Choosing him as the one to go, Ogundehin told Ese: "I loved the details in you're room, so you're showing me such spirit and virtuosity and I've no doubt that you're going to succeed absolutely."
Interior Design Masters continues next Thursday at 8pm on BBC One as the remaining contestants are challenged to repurpose shipping containers into offices.
