Freddie Flintoff has reportedly returned to TV work for the first time since his devastating accident while filming Top Gear over a year ago.
In December 2022, the former cricketer was involved in a crash on the set of the BBC motoring show which left him with broken ribs and severe facial injuries.
Flintoff recently reached a compensation deal with the BBC over the incident, thought to be around the £9 million mark.
Last year he took on a role as head coach of Northern Superchargers in the summer competition The Hundred, and now he is said to be ready to get back in front of the cameras too.
The Sun says that he has started working on plans for the second series of his BBC show Field of Dreams, which sees him try to get kids enthused about playing cricket.
"Freddie and staff have been quietly working on it since last month," a source told the newspaper.
"It's a show he feels passionate about and he's excited to be returning to the grass roots of the sport.
"It will be his first major TV project in two years. Filming will start in a few months, when it's warmer outside, and will take place in the north of England.
"A lot of the same production team will be involved in this series so Freddie will feel comfortable ahead of his big telly return."
The show had been originally due to air last autumn but is now likely to go out towards the end of 2024.
