One of the contestants on ITV2's new dating show Ready To Mingle is not only lying about their relationship status but also their sexuality.

One of the contestants on ITV2's new dating show Ready To Mingle is not only pretending to be single but is also pretending to be straight.

The new show sees 12 guys - all claiming to be single - attempting to woo one girl and share a cash prize, but only half of them are telling the truth.

Six of the boys actually have partners and if one of them ultimately convinces the girl to choose him in the final, she loses out and the boy walks away with the whole cash prize.

In last night's first episode, viewers were introduced to Hakeem's partner Naomie and in tonight's episode, the five other boys telling porkies will be revealed when their other halves move into a nearby apartment to keep tabs on their men.

One of the partners has now been revealed as 21-year-old Joe, who is going out with one of the boys in the villa who is claiming to be straight and single.

"I hope the fact that I'm here as a guy that is in a relationship with another guy causes a little bit of a stir and mixes it up a little bit and makes it a bit more interesting," he said.

Ready To Mingle continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
