Holly Willoughby is reportedly being courted by the BBC amid the ongoing saga at This Morning.
The ITV daytime show has dominated the headlines for the last few weeks after it emerged that host Phillip Schofield had conducted an affair with a much younger male runner who worked on the programme several years ago.
Schofield has lost his job as part of the fallout, while Willoughby has remained with the show - but according to The Mirror, she could be tempted to leave ITV to work on new shows for the BBC.
"Holly has had a good relationship and an open dialogue with BBC bosses since she hosted Freeze the Fear with Wim Hof," a source told the newspaper.
"Ever since then they have been keen to sign her up for another project and have bent over backwards to offer her other opportunities. So the ongoing drama at ITV has played into their hands.
"The bosses have had conversations this week about what they could offer her going forward. And one executive reached out to her directly earlier in the week.
"Holly was still away on holiday at the time. But she really values her relationship with the BBC and the friendships she has built up there."
Willoughby is due to return to the This Morning sofa for the first time since Schofield's departure tomorrow morning.
