ITV officially confirms a second series of its Stephen Mangan-fronted reality show The Fortune Hotel.

ITV has formally confirmed a second series of its The Traitors-style reality show The Fortune Hotel for 2025.

The format - hosted by Stephen Mangan - sees pairs of contestants check in to a luxury resort, where each duo is given a mystery case containing either nothing, an 'early checkout' card or the cash prize.

Over the course of the game, cases get exchanged, contestants are eliminated and ultimately one couple walks away with the cash.

The first series peaked at 3.1 million viewers when it aired on ITV1 in May and has since become a sleeper hit on ITVX, with 5.9 million streams to date.

Paul Mortimer, ITV's director of acquisitions, said: "The Fortune Hotel proved to be genuine, talked about television, captivating the audience from start to finish with its ingenious format and numerous twists and turns.

"Highly acclaimed by viewers and the press, we're thrilled to be bringing this wonderful show back for a second season."

Contestant applications are now open online, with filming due to take place in October and November.
