ITV has recommissioned conspiracy thriller Red Eye for a second series following impressive ratings for series one.
The six-parter was set chiefly on-board a flight from London to China, on which a suspected murderer was being extradited under police supervision - only for other passengers to suddenly start being killed off.
Jing Lusi, Lesley Sharp and Jemma Moore will all reprise their roles for the second series, which will follow "a new conspiracy", while Richard Armitage is not expected to be back for the new story.
The drama has now surpassed 29 million streams on ITVX and the first episode has consolidated to 8.3 million viewers across all devices, making it one of the most-watched shows of the year to date.
Polly Hill, ITV's head of drama, said: "I am so delighted to see the success of Red Eye. It's incredible to get an audience of over 8 million and a huge thank you to everyone involved for making such a brilliant and addictive thriller."
The new series will be filmed early next year for an expected broadcast towards the end of 2025.
