ITV has agreed a deal with Warner Bros Discovery to provide content for its major new streaming service ITVX.
Officially launching on December 8, ITVX marks a significant strategy shift for the broadcaster, which will premiere most of its shows first on the platform, months before linear transmission.
The free, ad-supported service will also offer thousands of hours of on-demand shows and movies, as well as a range of curated live-streamed stations such as a channel dedicated to non-stop Love Island and another showing Christmas movies around the clock.
The WB deal includes all eight seasons of The Vampire Diaries, as well as all five seasons of spinoff The Originals; the complete series of Batman-themed Gotham, fellow DC series Arrow and all 10 seasons of Smallville.
Also included are all 12 seasons of Two and a Half Men, the Chuck Lorre comedy starring Charlie Sheen and latterly Ashton Kutcher.
The shows will join ITVX gradually throughout December and into early 2023.
