ITV is reportedly giving consideration to axing The Larkins after just two series.
The show - an adaptation of The Darling Buds of May - is a warm period piece set in 1950s rural Kent, starring Bradley Walsh and Joanna Scanlan in the Pop and Ma roles.
The first series opened to an impressive 7.2 million viewers in October 2021, but the recent second series averaged around 4 million an episode.
A show source told The Sun: "The Larkins is going to be dropped in the new year - the writing is on the wall.
"The ratings for series two were disappointingly low and cast disagreements on set have been an ongoing problem for the production team."
ITV has yet to comment on the report.
