Jackie Weaver has been confirmed as a contestant on Channel 4's new politics-based reality show Make Me Prime Minister.
In the series, a number of aspiring politicians will be put through their paces in a variety of challenges such as creating and delivering speeches, participating in debates and going on the campaign trail.
Over the course of the show, former spin doctor Alastair Campbell and Baroness Sayeeda Warsi will be responsible for whittling down the contestants to just one, who will be elected as Channel 4's 'Alternative Prime Minister'.
Weaver became a viral sensation in December 2020 while chairing a feisty Zoom meeting of the Handforth Parish Council, prompting one of the participants to deliver the now-infamous line: "You have no authority here, Jackie Weaver."
The show, which will also feature guest appearances from former Prime Ministers Tony Blair and David Cameron, will air on Channel 4 later this year.
