HBO has confirmed that Jennifer Coolidge will be reprising her role as Tanya McQuoid for the new season of The White Lotus.
The quirky drama, following the staff and guests at a hotel in the "White Lotus" chain, was one of the breakout hits of 2021, with Coolidge in particular drawing praise for her portrayal of the boozy spinster Tanya.
The show was originally envisaged as a one-off miniseries but was renewed by HBO as an anthology series, with the second season featuring a mostly-new cast in a new location.
Coolidge is so far the only season one cast member confirmed to return and she will be joined by newcomers including Aubrey Plaza, Michael Imperioli, Tom Hollander and Theo James.
HBO has also announced that season two will run to seven episodes - one more than season one - and it has now commenced filming in Sicily, which will be the setting for another hotel in the White Lotus chain.
A release date has yet to be confirmed, although the new season is likely to air before the end of the year.
