Matt Hancock was supposedly put in his place by the tough-talking instructors during his appearance on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
The former health secretary was part of the lineup for this year's edition of the notoriously-difficult Channel 4 show, which was recorded a year ago in Vietnam and will be broadcast this autumn.
Hancock's stint on the show actually came before his appearance on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! last year, which saw him ruffle feathers with some campmates due to his handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
Celebrity SAS's chief instructor Billy Billingham has revealed that Hancock also had a tough time under his watch, finding himself "absolutely destroyed" by the instructors' interrogations.
"We treat everybody the same and we really went at him," he told The Sun.
"You might think that he'd be a cock but for most of the time he wasn't. But if anyone shows any attitude, they get it and when he tried it, he got fucking smashed.
"In the interrogation bit, he gets destroyed, absolutely destroyed.
"At the time I thought, 'Oh, hang on, maybe this is a bit much'. But no, he deserved it.
"The idea is every single contestant will either leave on day one or will leave as a better version of themselves and with Matt Hancock, he's still got a long way to go."
Hancock is now back in his day job as a serving member of parliament, although he has announced that he will be standing down at the next election.
