Maya Jama has been named as host of Walk The Line, the ambitious new competition series from Simon Cowell.
On the show, which has a £500,000 prize pot, contestants will perform for the viewing public and a panel of judges including Cowell - and winners will get the chance to walk away with a cash prize or choose to go for an even bigger jackpot by competing again in the next episode.
"If someone said to me, describe your dream job it would be this!" said Jama, who has previously hosted shows including The Circle, Glow Up and Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer.
"I literally couldn't be more excited to be working with Syco, Lifted Entertainment and the incredible team at ITV on Walk The Line."
Katie Rawcliffe, ITV's head of entertainment, added: "Maya is an exciting talent who brings a fresh energy, star power and stellar credentials to Walk The Line.
"We're looking forward to working with her and introducing this brilliant new format to viewers later in 2021."
Walk The Line is expected to be stripped over six nights when it airs on ITV later this year.
