Netflix has announced that the highly-anticipated fifth season of The Crown will be released in November next year.
The new season will herald the show's final cast change, with Imelda Staunton taking over as The Queen, Jonathan Pryce playing Prince Philip and Dominic West in the role of Prince Charles.
As happened prior to season three, the show is taking a break in 2021 in order for the fifth and sixth seasons to be filmed back to back.
Netflix has now confirmed that season five will be released in November 2022, with the final season likely to follow exactly one year later.
