Auditions for Simon Cowell's new talent show reportedly got off to a slow start at the weekend, with "just a trickle" of people showing up.
In the Netflix series, titled Simon Cowell: The Midas Touch, the music mogul will assemble a new UK boyband with the aim of making them the next One Direction.
Pictures published in The Sun show mostly-empty queuing lanes at the first audition venue at the Albert Dock in Liverpool, with an observer telling the paper: "They started arriving slowly from about 9am on Saturday but the biggest number in the queue never amounted to more than about 40.
"By early afternoon, the number arriving had virtually dried up and it was the same story on the Sunday audition.
"The amount of railings they put up suggested they were expecting hundreds or thousands of people to arrive and pack out the queues but they had a fraction of those kinds of numbers."
Auditions will continue in Dublin later this month, followed by further tryouts in London in early August.
