The Real Housewives Of London is reportedly in development chaos as producers struggle to pull together a cast.

The much-anticipated The Real Housewives Of London is reportedly trapped in development chaos as producers are struggling to pull together a cast.

The show - the latest iteration of the hugely-successful franchise - was first announced last autumn as the first original series from reality TV streaming service Hayu, with the team behind Made In Chelsea being tasked to oversee the project.

The London edition is a separate venture from The Real Housewives of Cheshire, which has been a huge hit for ITVBe and is about to begin its 18th season.

According to the Daily Mail, producers of the London spinoff have been keen to cast serious businesswomen rather than celebrities or existing reality stars but have kept getting turned down.

A source close to one of the women approached to take part said: "They're looking for businesswomen rather than celebs, not going down the WAG or celeb route. It's not working as no-one wants to do it.

"They first asked her about casting back in August. It's now January, and they're still not cast. They keep sending messages saying, 'Have you got anyone?'"

The show was originally due to begin filming early this year for a premiere later in 2025, although those timings are now up in the air.
