The Sopranos actor Michael Imperioli has joined the cast of The White Lotus for its upcoming second season.
The comedy-drama - following the staff and guests at a luxury holiday resort in Hawaii - was one of the most acclaimed shows of 2021, prompting HBO to order a follow-up from creator Mike White.
The second season will be set at a different property in the White Lotus chain, complete with a new set of staff and guests - although some of the season one cast, including Jennifer Coolidge, are expected to return.
According to Deadline, Imperioli will play the part of Dominic Di Grasso, a man who is on holiday with his elderly father and recently college-graduated son.
Filming on the new season has yet to begin, meaning that it is unlikely to be broadcast until late 2022 or early 2023.
