Today's episode of This Morning with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will come live from Buckingham Palace.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will broadcast today's episode of This Morning live from Buckingham Palace, it has been announced.

ITV's flagship mid-morning programme will come from The Queen's former London residence as part of the celebrations of her Platinum Jubilee - marking 70 years since she ascended to the throne.

The pair will be supported in the live broadcast by orator Gyles Brandreth, fashion expert Gok Wan, horticultural expert David Domoney and chef Phil Vickery for the special programme, which comes a week before the double bank holiday weekend in the UK.

Willoughby said: "I have been very lucky to have been a part of many 'firsts' on This Morning, but to present live from Her Majesty's home during such a special year for her is a dream come true. I cannot wait to have a look around!"

Show editor Martin Frizell said: "This will be our way of commemorating one of the greatest monarchs in history. To be allowed to broadcast from the Palace, which has been her home for most of her life is an honour.

"Our viewers will be in for a real treat. We are taking a host of our This Morning family with us and I'm sure this will be a memorable day for us all."

This Morning airs today from 10.30am on ITV.
