Lady Gaga's Chromatica outselling rest of top 20 combined

Lady Gaga is on course to claim top spot on the albums chart after Chromatica records more than 40,000 sales in just three days.

Lady Gaga is set to claim an emphatic number one debut on the albums chart this Friday with her new record Chromatica.

According to data from the Official Charts Company, the album recorded more than 40,000 chart sales in its first three days of release - more sales than the rest of the top 20 combined.

Chromatica features the duet with Ariana Grande 'Rain On Me', which debuted atop the singles chart last week and is on course to stay there this week.

Two other tracks - 'Alice' and the Blackpink collaboration 'Sour Candy' - are also set to land inside the Top 40.

Last week's number one, The 1975's Notes On A Conditional Form, is down to five, while sparring partner KSI stays at two with Dissimulation.
