The launch lineups for new channels Sky Showcase and Sky Max - replacing Sky One in September - are revealed.

Sky has released provisional schedules for its two new channels Sky Max and Sky Showcase ahead of their launch next month.

The new stations will go live on Wednesday, September 1 as replacements for Sky One, with Sky Max becoming the new home for entertainment programming and Sky Showcase a 'best of' channel highlighting programmes from across Sky's vast array of channels, including cinema and sport content.

Sky Showcase will begin at 11am on September 1 with The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, while episodes of The Simpsons will play out at 5pm and between 6.30pm and 8pm on weekdays.

Sky Max will air new episodes of Legends of Tomorrow and Prodigal Son from 8pm on launch day - and both will be simulcast on Sky Showcase, which will also simulcast Sky Comedy's Code 404 from 10pm.

On Thursday, Sky Max will premiere new episodes of The Flash and A League of Their Own, both of which will again also be shown on Sky Showcase.

Sky Showcase has a programming slot vacant on Friday night, which has possibly been earmarked for a simulcast of the opening Women's Super League game of the season on Sky Sports or a Friday night movie from the Sky Cinema library.
