Big Brother executive producer Natalka Znak has promised fans that the show's impending return will be worth the wait.
Earlier this year ITV confirmed that it would be bringing back the seminal reality show for a new series on ITV2 and ITVX in 2023, some five years after it was axed by Channel 5.
Znak, a reality TV titan who previously developed Love Island and Hell's Kitchen, has been charged with overseeing the reboot - in addition to working on the BBC's 2023 reboot of Survivor.
Talking at RTS London this week, she hinted that the show will undergo changes when it returns but insisted that it would remain "brilliant".
"TV has moved on since the days we loved watching people eat their cornflakes," she said, in quotes carried by Deadline.
"I'm having conversations with so many hardcore fans who are saying 'Don't touch it' but I think they will watch.
"What I need to focus on is appealing to all the people who've never watched Big Brother. It's a hard job. It will be brilliant though."
The new series is expected to start in May.
