Kate McCann has returned to the airwaves for the first time after fainting during last night's Conservative Party leadership debate.
The programme, which was broadcast live on TalkTV, featured the two candidates to become the next Prime Minister - Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss - going head-to-head in front of a small studio audience.
Around halfway through the hour, the show was abruptly pulled off air when McCann fainted and collapsed while Truss was answering a question about Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Tonight McCann appeared as planned on TalkTV as host of The News Desk, telling viewers that she was feeling "a little embarrassed" and "a little bit bruised".
She joked: "There was plenty of speculation in run up to last night's The Sun's showdown about whether anyone would be the victim of a knockout blow, what no one predicted was it might well be the presenter."
"A little embarrassed a little bit bruised but glad to be back and totally fine," she added. "Not necessarily what any of us expected to happen I don't think.
"It was one of those moments that no-one can really prepare for."
McCann also confirmed that both Truss and Sunak have agreed to a rematch at a future date yet to be confirmed.
