Sky has confirmed to staff that it will be issuing bonuses amounting to around £20m to help with the cost-of-living crisis this winter.
Around 70% of the broadcaster's staff in the UK and Ireland will be given a bonus of £1,000 in two equal instalments in October and January.
Around 20,000 of the business's lowest-paid workers will get the support, which comes as inflation is expected to peak at around 14% in the coming weeks.
Sky said that employees would also be eligible for discounts on everyday essentials including food, clothes and electrical goods.
The move comes after Sky recently announced a 9% dip in revenues to £8.1 billion for the first half of the year.
