Sky's integrated TV product Sky Glass will launch in the Republic of Ireland next month, it has been announced.
The product is a plug-and-play device which comes with an internet-delivered Sky service built in as standard, removing the traditional need for a satellite dish and a separate set-top box.
The TV can either be paid for upfront or the cost can be spread over monthly instalments - with a 43" TV unit costing €15 a month, a 55" model costing €20 and a 65" version costing €26.
"Following its hugely successful launch in the UK, we are thrilled to announce that Ireland will be the second market to launch Sky Glass," said Sky Ireland's chief exec JD Buckley.
"The launch of Sky Glass here marks a significant milestone in Sky's 25-year history in Ireland and follows our recent announcement that Sky Mobile is coming to Ireland in 2023, as well as the opening of our four new flagship retail stores.
"Investing in the best technology, the best content and the best customer experience are always our top priorities and Sky Glass is the most innovative product we have developed yet. It opens the world of Sky to customers who may not have been able to access Sky TV before now."
Sky Glass will be available to Irish customers from August 25, although pre-orders are now being accepted online through the Sky Ireland website.
