ITV outlines its plans for the night of the US Presidential election, with Tom Bradby anchoring and Stormy Daniels among the guests.

ITV has confirmed details of its coverage for the results of the upcoming US Presidential election.

Americans will take to the polls on Tuesday, November 5 to decide whether Kamala Harris or Donald Trump will become the 47th President, with psephologists currently predicting an extremely tight race.

ITV's main results show will kick off at 10.45pm - 5.45pm on the East Coast - on the night, with Tom Bradby serving as lead anchor in a Washington DC studio.

Joining him is correspondent Robert Moore, covering his sixth US election, and deputy political editor Anushka Asthana analysing the latest results on the battleboard.

At the top of every hour, the broadcaster will cross to CNN to simulcast the latest projections as polls close state by state, while Julie Etchingham will be live from California - Harris's home state - to explore the Vice-President's record.

At 6am a special edition of Good Morning Britain will take over, with Susanna Reid and Ed Balls also in Washington alongside guests including Jon Sopel, Stormy Daniels and Trump's nephew Fred Trump III.

Sarah Palin, former Republican Governor of Alaska and the 2008 VP nominee, will be present across both the main results programme and GMB.

The BBC, Channel 4, Sky News and GB News will also broadcast rival coverage tailored to UK viewers on the night.
